Karen Fraser
Karen is an Organisational Capability Specialist, with extensive experience in delivering both strategic and operational development strategies to support business goals.
She has worked with organisations both in NZ and the UK, across a wide range of sectors. These include agriculture and dairy, public and not-for-profit, education, regional governance, professional services and retail.
With an Honours degree in Organisational Psychology, Karen is fascinated by what makes organisations and their people tick.
What stands Karen apart is her ability to quickly build trust and engage with people at all levels, identify gaps and opportunities, and then work through others to implement practical and sustainable solutions.
Success for Karen is when her clients can continue to do what is needed once she is no longer working with them.
Karen’s areas of expertise include:
Organisational Capability: Working with businesses to align their strategic goals with their workforce capability. Examples include; culture change, workforce planning, talent and succession planning, career planning and development.
Design Thinking: Applying the design thinking process to business problems to creatively problem solve and innovate solutions – through their people. This includes building these skills in your people, as well as implementing design thinking to your in-house projects.
Team Facilitation: Supporting teams to work together cohesively to achieve joint goals – be it to resolve conflict, improve collaboration, re-align team purpose after a change, or to help newly formed teams to work together.
Change Management: Working with Organisations to build their change strategy, supporting people to develop and apply change leadership skills, developing change management approaches and tools for specific projects or business change, or implementing change directly where in-house capability is missing.
Leadership Development: Designing and delivering leadership development programmes to challenge and lift the thinking and performance of existing and new leaders. This includes both operational and general management level roles.
Training Programmes: Designing and delivering training for organisations in soft skills. Examples include coaching, train the trainer, customer service, interviewing, conflict resolution.
